I stopped in with friends for lunch and we decided to try a few different dishes and share. There was a lunch special on which meant the dishes we picked were only $10 each, rather than the usual price of $16-$17, so it was exceptionally good value. My favourite dish was the Goddess Salad which had the creamiest Persian feta with lots of dried cranberries and crunchy pepitas on top of mixed greens with a tangy lemon, lime and olive oil dressing. The Margherita pizza was quite a decent size and the crust was beautifully light and crisp. The Mushroom Linguine had a fairly light sauce rather than a traditional creamy mushroom sauce and it was initially a little bland. After a little seasoning with the salt & paper grinders on the table, the flavours really lifted and I really enjoyed the dish. Service was quick and friendly too.
While waiting for a film to start at the Rhodes Reading Cinema, we decided to check out the dining options in the area and decided some Italian at Corbett and Claude would be a good choice. We based this off the busy dining area, green plants and really rustic decor that we could see upon entry. Walking in we were greeted by friendly staff that showed us right to a comfy seating area. The dining room is warmly lit, and has full view of the kitchen along with the big wood fired oven where the pizzas are made which I loved. The natural hues and indoor plants decorating the room gave the space a homely and warm vibe, which paired with the rustic tables and brown leather chairs, looked fabulous.
This is our local favourite, serves good food and is kids friendly. Service can be lacking at times but staff is always friendly and smiling.
